Before You Arrive

We ask that you call ahead before you come to the Gainesville pet hospital. At that time, we can help answer your immediate questions (such as how to find us, how to move and transport your injured animal, etc.) and, we will be prepared for your emergency situation when you arrive. If you have vaccination records or any other pertinent medical information for your pet available, please bring those with you. (See Emergency Indicators and Preparedness Tips.)

Please remember to drive safely, even in an emergency.
We want both you and your pet to arrive safely!

Upon Arrival

For the safety of your pet and for others, please keep your dog, cat or pet on a leash or in a pet carrier, if possible. Since you called ahead, just let the receptionist know your name and our staff will help you as quickly as possible.

Payment Options and Procedures

Since we are solely an emergency clinic, it is our policy to receive payment at the time of treatment.

As a client, you will receive an estimate of anticipated services at the time of your pet's physical examination and before our staff performs any non-lifesaving treatment. At that time, we encourage you to ask questions and we'll provide any explanations and answers.

We are here to serve you and want you to be fully informed about your costs and your pet's course of treatment. After you authorize and arrange for payment, therapy will be initiated as needed for your pet.

Fees may be paid by cash, check, Visa®, MasterCard®, AmericanExpress®, or Discover®. No delayed billing for fees will be authorized. For checks, we require a valid driver's license for identification and the person writing a check must have their name preprinted on the check/account. We require a deposit--that will be applied to the final bill--for ALL hospitalized patients. No patients are allowed to be released from the hospital until fees are paid in full.

Hospitalization

Our pet hospital is designed to support your animal's health status until your regular veterinarian or hospital is available. If continued care or observation is needed, we will admit and hospitalize your pet. We will then refer back to your regular veterinarian at 8:00 a.m. the next regular office day. We require a deposit--that will be applied to the final bill--for ALL hospitalized patients.

Post-Hospital Care

After your dog, cat or pet is discharged, we encourage you to return to your regular veterinarian for continued care, follow up medications, and medical management. If you do not have a regular veterinarian, we will gladly provide you with a listing of local area veterinary hospitals. NOTE: You can also go to VetLocator which lists over 30,000 Veterinary Clinics and Hospitals in the US and Canada. You can search for clinics and vets in your area code.
